Alberta Shafsky, the eldest daughter of Albert, was a bit of a collector in her own right. This lovely two-room suite features pieces that might have belonged in her private collection including a Hoosier, a sewing machine and dress form, a carved-wood armoire and a variety of steamer trunks. A beautiful four-poster queen bed with old-fashioned steps commands attention in the bedroom. Light dances through the elegant stained-glass window and forms a rainbow of magical colors in the private bathroom, which is completed with a tub/shower.

The suite’s Sitting Room offers comfy reclining chairs-dive into a good book or just kick off your shoes and put your feet up after a day of adventuring. Alberta’s Attic offers privacy and warmth and is an ideal spot for celebrating a special occasion.

We had a lovely visit at your Placerville bed and breakfast. The wine, cheese, crackers and fruit and of course cookies on our arrival were great and made us feel Welcome. We enjoyed breakfast- it was tasty and beautiful-and thank you for the recipe. We enjoyed our stay here in your special home very much.
